JEREMY LUCAS - Artistic Director

In the spring of 2009, The U.S. State Department contracted Jeremy Lucas as a Cultural Envoy for the USA representing American Musical Theatre.  Jeremy was commissioned by the US Embassy in Baku, Azerbaijan to produce and direct Broadway In Baku.  Jeremy produced the critically acclaimed Los Angeles premiere of the 12 time Tony nominated, The Life at The Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood for JAXX THEATRICALS (our parent company) and produces, directs, and choreographs for JETS. JETS combines ‘typical’ kids with special needs kids to result in a final full-inclusion musical production.  Jeremy also produced, directed, and choreographed Chicago at The Hudson Backstage which ran from November 2007 until January 2008 and earned him a 2008 LA Ovation Award Nomination for Best Choreography.  He has also been nominated for the Artistic Director Achievement Award.  Additionally, he produced, directed, and choreographed Andrew Lippa's Wild Party at The Met in June 2006.  His other director/choreographer stage credits include The Golden Boys, starring Frankie Avalon; collaborating with Academy Award winner and Creative Advisor: George Chakiris on West Side StoryThe Music Man and Guys & Dolls with The Stepping Stone Players; Suicide: The Musical at The McCadden Theatre, and The Liza & Lorna Show at The Celebration Theatre.  

As an actor, stage credits include: performing in the International Tour of Chicago  and traveling the country playing Action in West Side Story  in the 50th Anniversary production at The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle, here at the Fullerton Civic Light Opera, and in Colorado at The Central City Opera, to name a few.   Jeremy is a member of SAG/AEA/AFTRA. 

Mr. Lucas graduated magna cum laude receiving a BFA from Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts. He also spent a year as a Theatre Education major at Illinois State University.








 
JUSTINE BALDWIN -Producing Director

Justine produced the critically acclaimed Los Angeles premiere of Cy Coleman's The Life at The Stella Adler Theatre and the well-received run and extension of Chicago, The Musical by Maurine Dallas Watkins at the Hudson Backstage Theatre in Hollywood, CA.  She has also produced over a dozen musical theatre youth ensemble shows and special arts showcase appearances for Jaxx Educational Theatre School including SeussicalHigh School MusicalGrease, Aladdin, Willy Wonka, Into the Woods, & Alice In Wonderland.  She also produced, directed, and choreographed two casts in The Wicked World of Oz for JETS.


Justine has extensive experience as a Stage Manager and Production Stage Manager working at several Los Angeles area theatres including The Alex, The Theatre @ Boston Court, The Hudson, The Met, The Road, The Bootleg, and The Cavern Club Celebrity Theatre.  She received an LA Weekly Theater Award nomination for her work on Gulls by Nick Salamone and Maury McIntyre and has worked with respected directors Meryl Friedman, Alicia Wollerton, Taylor Gilbert, Jessica Kubzansky, Iqbal Hans, Barbara Bosch, Frank Condon, Tom Humphrey, Jon Patrick Selover, Jeremy Lucas, and the late Taft Miller.

Justine graduated from UCLA with a Master’s Degree in Education and a BA in World Arts and Cultures with a Theatre Concentration and Diversified Liberal Arts Specialization.  Justine is a full time elementary school teacher and works as a Consulting Teacher providing support and guidance for beginning teachers.  She has received a Disney Teacher nomination and has been awarded the Masonic Award for Outstanding and Meritorious Service to Public Schools and Public Education.

MARK ESPINOSA - Managing Director

Mark produced the Los Angeles premiere of the critically-acclaimed, 12-time Tony nominated The Life at The Stella Adler Theatre and co-produced the hugely successful Chicago, The Musical at The Hudson Backstage.  He was also Martin Harrison in the production.  In addition, Mark co-produced and starred in a production of the popular movie-to-stage adaptation of Clue.


Other stage credits include Sam in The Wild Party, Duvid in A Shayna Maidel, and Chino in West Side Story.  He has performed in theatres all over the Los Angeles area including The Celebration Theatre, The Met, Boston Court Theatre, McCadden Place Theatre, Hollywood Fight Club Theatre and The Cavern Club Celebrity Theatre.  Screen credits includeOh Baby!, Apparent Horizon, Grain, and the television show Passions.


Mark is a member of Playwrights 6 and the AFI Conservatory.  He is also a good standing member of the Screen Actors Guild.  He is represented by Richard Ohanesian at Cassell-Levy, Inc.  Mark graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance in 2003.
